crapcrapcrap

soccer today was bad. losing 10-2 even in an exhibition was just no reason for a bad perfomance.

no squad discipline at all, we were all over the place.

my ankles feel like they are 33 years old. old and wearing out.

anyways, some people need to remember its not that easy to organize an event, let alone a last minute one. murmuring and complaining really does NOT go easy on the ears esp if that person has put it effort to run it well.

in short, if you think you can do better, why not volunteer to do it in the first place instead of complaining?

the CAGE again

went down today and had a blast, except for the part where i twisted my ankle while trying to cross and it got caught on the netting.

not bad, nice touches, great teammates heh. got winded by my own teammate in the end too. took a ball into the chest..ouch.

this weak old body is not meant for crazy stuff anymore :(

feeling old.. body dying

heh ever felt so out of breath? I did and after two solid games. Was playing @ the CAGE with sheva and friends, came in one game and was so "zhuan" (out of breath) by the 3rd game. maybe i've gotta lay off the lunch or push it back heh.

apart from that soccer @ the CAGE was quite fun. played overally well and topped off with a goal (haha..still can't beat sat's tally of 8?)

anyways, decided to do something a lil crazy and go for basketball that evening as well. Paid the price on thurs morning, waking up like a bag of bones.

so playing again just a while later @ the CAGE. heh to those who don't know what it is, please go and check it out sometime, http://www.thecage.com.sg

giving away and getting it back

the title is double ended.

well, last night went to play a bit of MJ (as per my mum's side CNY norm, and no i didn't gamble! all i played for was my place on the table) well, as the title goes, i had a decent enough game, my hands were all relatively good and i mean good.. just that i could never win it :(

really! any card i gave away would come back and haunt me like i shouldn't have. and i would only get the card i need, if i threw the connecting card away -_-

apart from that, got back home and a family from church came by to help us with the packing and bringing the boxes from outside the home in. now my living room is full of boxes! gave away abt 9 boxes worth of toys, books and random stuff to the salvation army. thanks Zhuang for the van.

have to shop for lights later and there's soccer at 2am =/ have to catch my sleep here and there again.

of gashes and skin

Soccer today was great apart from the rain which came and went thrice. Played right through it and enjoyed myself though, best moments were before the rain where I somehow managed to "ole" one guy, turn another and slot the ball into the goal :P

the bad moments were actually BEFORE the game. ran to pick up a ball and fell forward onto the drain covers and ground. that makes it twice in 4 days -_-

scratches and small wounds on the left palm and a 3 cm wound on the right. at least now both knees are balanced, hahaha!

apart from that, ain't celebrating CNY this year but well there's quite a lot to do at home. when does (un)packing ever end?!

so to all readers, Happy Chinese New Year!

90% Complete

Here's an update for now.

Carpenters came by the first 3 days to do up all the new furniture and
cupboards etc.

SO i finally have a new bed to sleep on after "squatting" on 3 chairs to sleep
every night (looking much like a homeless person sleeping on the benches at the park)

anyways, minor screw-up with the tv/video sigh. so no tv as yet. hopefully it will be fixed soon!

On other notes, YF beat FEBC/Gethsamane at the Lorong Lew Lian Field 3-1! (:

I owe photos and i'm lazy :P

Let me get through the last bit of renovation work before I post them.

If you thought packing was hard, unpacking is actually much much harder!

4th day

4th day of renovations and i can't wait for things to get back to normal. pictures coming soon.

day 1 - removers

heh they basically cleared out the entire house. and my room which was full of trash. I kid you not. 7 black rubbish bags full of rubbish and not counting my bed, 2 set of shelves behind my bed, cupboard,  cabinet, desk and shelf on my desk.

so started the day with everything and rubbish, ended the day with just my window and mattresses.

day 2 - electricians

actually the most slack day so far, except for the power cut when they were doing the wiring, i had pretty much nothing to do.

day 3 - painters pt 1

was quite ok, gave my room and my mum's new colours. it was the after that i got so tired of. had to clean up and wipe down the places they were gonna paint.

day 4 - painters pt 2

finished up the rooms and toilets and started on the living room. must say i did think one of them is more skilled and the other sloppy. alot of areas to clean up -_- like what happened to the good idea of using masking tape so you wouldn't overpaint?

the main wall isn't done, put 2 coats of red but it didn't go very nice. looks set of a 3rd coat after the carpenters are done.

well so far its progressing fairly well. still a few kinks here and there to iron out. haha..i wonder what would happen on day 5 when we have to move the contents of the two rooms out into the living room, they are currently full of the stuff from the living room. and yes, the kitchens have more boxes than i ever remember seeing in my home.

next post will be pics and an exclusive on how i sleep in this mess heh.
