7671 days and counting...

and still alive (: well if you count that back, you'd prob come up to deduce that 21 years have fully passed.

anyways a quote i found while shopping for a birthday card for my aunt:
"In a perfect world, we would never need to apologize.
We would never speak a thoughtless word...or let each other down or break each other's heart.

Love would conquer all, and happy endings would be a dime a dozen.
But this isn't a perfect world, and sometimes people learn the hard way.

We do things we can't take back, no matter how hard we try.
I'm sorry for causing you so much pain, for giving you a reason to doubt how much I care.
I'm sorry, with all my heart, because I really do care.
- Terry Smith."

the calm before the storm

did i mention in my previous posts how busy in camp i was, well apart from yesterday, the entire week/month (or rather two months) have been just running from place to place doing various sorts of rubbish.

today on office duty, there was another screw-up. one that i would have never have done if not for the 'helpfulness' of a colleague. see, at the end of the day we lock up everything, doors, drawers, cupboards etc. so heres how it goes, my colleague has a meeting that ends late, so i keep the office open for him, he changes and while he is doing that i leave the room key in the door lock so that he can help me lock up after he is done while i lock up the other rooms. so assuming he has, i take my leave only to have my s3 (who is on duty) call up my ops wo who calls up my ops spec who calls me up to ask why i didn't lock up properly. i get screwed ard by my ops wo till i get to the part abt my colleague and then he tells me "ummm..like that ah."

thing is, my colleague happily changed, walked out and closed the door without locking it, so leaving the key where i left it, in the door lock. if it were me, i would prob just take the initiative and just lock it up since i'm the last to use the room, but i forget, its not me.

so with some luck, i'll just get screwd by my s3 tmrw, if i'm lucky, a serious reprimand, if i'm not, prob just extra duties. and i have just one guy to thank.

so the moral of the above f.stupid story is that if you depend on people, the one who gets screwed in the end is you.

first times.

well first time in 21.917 years ain't exactly a world record rite?

haha.. but well (:

i hope you liked it.

army = inequality?

getting 3 extra for being late when you're on office duty is fair, then when someone else does it and gets away with it without anything, what would you think?

stuck in office while that person is out there playing soccer is ridiculous when you're not on duty. i'm not even pretending that i'm pissed by that. its really too much.

what a 'great' start to the day huh?

need for speed

go-karting's really really fun. should head down to jb, perma jaya to do it more.

except for the bruised shoulderblade, i should be fine (; think all the swinging ard did me in. but the adrenaline rush is fantastic! ok so i'm not the best or fastest driver but on the track, who cares as long as you are having fun?

haha..skidded twice (once to avoid crashing with my friend, another while attempting too tight a turn) but kept the foot down on the gas, rewarded with sand in face and one heck of a ride (:

food was great and quite cheap too. so maybe jb outings might become more regular heh. and yes i'm putting on weight lol.

the stuff you can both laugh and cringe at

well..if getting my Ops WO to actually choke on his drink with a sentence like, "thats like, taking advantage of me lah!"

oh and i got a nice spray of coke from him too. hurhur..

anyways really overworked. 3 special projects, my own work is piling up and there's so much other shit to do as well. gee.

wow.

i'm amazed at how crazy things can get.
2 hours of sleep
1 full soccer match
13 hours of competition pool
4th placed finish

thank God for it all!

also thank God for the wonderful weather and gracious opponents and for a chance to fellowship with brethen through soccer. although we tried out best ( i still believe we can do better) they played better (:
thanks to the organizer, danny, the supporters and FEBC and all who played.

i'm also amazed at how lame and childish some ppl can get. i'm sure there'll be a tag about it on my tagboard by him/her/it.

02/02 must be Murphy's Day

hmmmm..firstly, how i did forget to bring my boots to camp then the wild "celebrations" of my colleagues at my mistake. sheesh. its bad enough as it is.

then nearly no being able to leave for my medical appointment cuz my as1 decided to play dumb to my requests. sheesh.

then i thot everything would be better on my way back, well it was till i decided to get a lil bit of pool. everything went wrong again. *rollseyes

then the bus driver of one of the tibs buses came up to me and angrily demanded i re-tap my ezlink (which i sorta suspectd that i didn't tap, but didn't really care cuz i was on a bus stamp) like where's the so-called good service?! sheesh. like as if i really wanted to cheat TIBS or the bus driver of that few cents. my goodness.

well the only good thing to come out so far is that danny managed to get the police academy field so the match is on. and yes team manager can also be quite stressful.

today's just another of those days.

anyways i guess i should be contented a lil. 3 break clears in 2 weeks is still 3 break clears. and sarah's becoming a pool addict ;)

no, my room's a warzone and its like my blog. i just don't feel like doing anything abt it even though i so want to. sighh =/

how fridays should (not) be spent

well packin and loadin and unpackin and unloadin stores should NOT be the way to spend a friday.

but...

riding on the back of a 5-tonner travelling along the ECP at 55km/h, eating Changi Village nasi lemak, taking in the view of the sea and listening to your fav tunes in your iPod... thats the way to be spending your friday (:
