went for the mambo u21 tournament for sponsorship and prizes. i gave it my best but i still have some shots unfigured out.

first rd of 16, played with a mambo2 regular called pui ruan and he wasn't as good as he seemed. he was uncomfortable and well not playing his game well. or if that was his usual game, he needs a lot more improvement to be able to talk big the way the does at m2. beat him 4-1 and like i was shooting fine. though the first rack was a bundle of nerves, thank God i managed to settle down.

rd of 8, and faced with the player, my friend anthony, tipped to win it, was alex. now say what you want abt him but he's really good. somehow it seems that some lack of practice at mambo1 or that the tables aren't optinum got to him and he did miss some shots that you wouldn't expect him to. if i was a machine in the first match, alex must have been a better one. consistency. well, i didn't really give him the match on a silver platter and quietly die away, and i feel i gave it my best, winning 1 rack thru safety play, and another 2 from well a mistake from him.

competitions are like that, either you're in stroke there and then or just nothing at all.

tmrw, gotta go for my medical appointments at ttsh. and get my downgrade cuz i really need it.
